Getting to know Gary Ogg:

I became a lawyer because...it is what I always wanted to be while growing up. I was always fascinated with the art of arguing and persuasion. While in college I never considered becoming anything but an attorney.

What I like most about the law is...the satisfaction I get helping someone who is having a very difficult time in life. I do not believe that there is anything more fulfilling than being challenged by the rigors of a jury trial and having a jury render a fair and just verdict.

My most rewarding case... A gentleman who was injured on the job site as a laborer. One of the bosses on the job involved him in horseplay and he sustained serious injuries to his back requiring several operations. The defense lawyer in this matter was quite arrogant and adamant about not paying any money regarding this particular case and basically laughed at my client. The jury awarded $1.1 million and, needless to say, my client was quite satisfied with this result.

I founded Ogg, Cordes, Murphy & Ignelzi because...I basically wanted to be my own attorney, making my own decisions. This, however, has required the management of a tremendous amount of pressure over the years. But, I am satisfied with my choice.

What makes Ogg, Cordes, Murphy & Ignelzi different from other lawyers? Time after time, my partners at Ogg, Cordes, Murphy & Ignelzi have exhibited not only a "fight to the finish" attitude with unquestionable loyalty, but unlike many other firms, we have always worked together as a team, often at the expense of our own self interest.

I was honored to be described as...a person who never gave up and did not put up with any "run around" typically received from automobile insurance liability adjusters.

My favorite quote is...one that I often use when facing a difficult crisis, and that is "I've been in bigger jams than this."

When not at work, I enjoy...working out, golf, dancing, the theater, decorating and spending time with my family.
